“Some things can’t be unseen.”
Try as we might, there were some things about hanging out with The Chemical Buddha that we could not unsee. Before going on, you should know that The Chemical Buddha considered anything said within his four walls or in his presence as his property. He assumed you would have not thought of what you thought of if it weren’t for his enlightened presence. And we can confirm that no one would have come up with this insight if they hadn’t seen TCB in action. In this case, an unfortunate ‘monk’ didn’t knock before opening the bathroom door and walked in on The Chemical Buddha while he was wiping his ass. He had one leg up on the toilet seat and was using one hand to spread his meaty cheeks apart while the other was sort of dabbing at his butt. (If he had longer arms, he probably would have been able to wipe a lot better.) This particular insight also had a companion insight: some things can’t be unsmelt.
What slights from your past are you unwilling to let go of?
What would be different in your life if you were able to let them go?

We're Not Talking About Deordorant
“Every saint has a secret.”
The Chemical Buddha loved everyone. He just loved some people less than others. One such group was the hypocritical, holier than thou crowd. People who acted like they were perfect. Like they didn’t have any problems. What TCB discovered is that everyone had a secret. Something from their past they’re not proud of. Even The Chemical Buddha had some things from his past he’d rather people not know about. For instance, toward the end of his life, The Chemical Buddha doubted whether or not he was enlightened. He also worried that people would just think he’d ripped off the Buddha’s thinking and insights. And to be honest, after his passing, we did find a ‘Teachings of the Buddha’ book in his room with certain passages circled. We’re sure that’s just a coincidence though.
Who don’t you like and what is it about them you don’t like?
In what ways are you like the people you don’t like?

Dam it
“Sometimes you eat the beaver. Sometimes the beaver eats you.”
The Chemical Buddha thought this little nugget was gold when he first said it. First, it’s a nice twist on the old "sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you" idea and second, it involved sex. And sex was always one of his favorite topics. Right up there with food and drugs. Of course, if TCB were going to make the quote more accurate it would have been something like: ‘I rarely eat the beaver. Most of the times, the beaver eats me.’ But what fun was that? At least it seems like he sometimes did it which, while inaccurate, made him at least look more balanced. And when TCB couldn’t be enlightened, he at least wanted to look like he was.
Where are you out of balance in your life?
Where do you want your life to look different than it actually is?
